I saw Merrily We Roll Along on Broadway tonight and it was so good it made me cry happy tears. What a thrill to be back in the Church of Sondheim and see three home-run performances help a challenging piece just go soaring into the canon. The standing ovation felt like actual heartfelt gratitude.

Great interview. Radcliffe’s latest Happy-Sad-Confused podcast ep has amazing insight into the show as well.

I saw it April 2023 at NYTW and again on Broadway this past March and it was such a joy to see the actors grow into & own those parts. I can only hope to ever see another Mary as good as Lindsay Mendez.

Heard an interview where it was said if the show is a hit there are backers ready to finance the movie with that cast & director. Can’t wait! It’s a top five Sondheim for me but I’m not in NYC.

Just remembered — it’s Radcliffe’s latest Happy-Sad-Confused podcast ep, amazing insights and very funny anecdotes about Groff, Sondheim, etc.

They are in the process of filming one - like Boyhood, filming it over the course of years to allow the actors to age? All I know is it has a nepo baby and the first Franklin Shephard got replaced after it came out that he was a domestic abuser.

Wow that sounds amazing and insane. Can't wait. Who's directing?

What! Wiki says it's Linklater again... holy shit 🙌👀😍

I've heard that they are filming shows this week. As a filmed stage musical I wouldn't imagine it competing with the Linklater film, which won't be out for another decade+ anyway.
I really loved when Radcliffe was on Colbert he basically said "we're happy that we've revived this show and we're also happy for all the casts who get to do it going forward. We don't want to be the definitive cast by any means"

I'm seeing it on Friday and I'm so excited!
