If you're a member of a political party (i.e. a registered voter), and you want to communicate something important to your party's leadership, reaching out to any federal electeds who are also members of your party (congress, senate) or any statewide official (governor) is a way to communicate

Here's a website that will allow you to look up who your Member of Congress and U.S. Senators are, and what party they belong, and the phone number for their office. If you call after hours, there's usually an option to leave a voicemail. www.congress.gov/members/find...

Not much of a point to be made, but it is interesting we don’t really have memberships in parties in this country. There are no dues outside of, say, CPUSA. “Membership” is largely a pointless term carried over from countries where you actually are a vested member of a movement.

In my days of calling congresspeople, they nearly always asked my zip code and if it wasn’t theirs, they were not interested. Has that changed?

Us "not stated" registered voters can also call our representatives.
