I'm intrigued to hear Diamondback is in the new Captain America movie. When I started reading comics, she was a reformed villain in a "will they or won't they" dynamic with Steve Rogers. Steve's out of the MCU now, but will Diamondback become the next breakout Marvel movie star? (Probably not.)

As a lifelong Marvel Comics fan, I memorized the full names of AIM, SHIELD, and MODOK years ago. Now I've learned about a Marvel organization called ULTIMATUM: Underground Liberated Totally Integrated Mobile Army To Unite Mankind. Ridiculous. I plan to keep it memorized for the rest of my life!

I recently read this issue of Captain America, in which Steve Rogers fights President Ronald Reagan, who has turned into a half-man, half snake monster. And people say there didn't used to be politics in comics!

This was a comment on a Facebook post about Johnny Carson. I'm always fascinated by comments like these from old-timers, who view old media through rose-colored glasses but remember it wrong. Carson's nightly monologue was FULL of political gossip!

You and your partner are watching the latest trending Netflix show? BORING. Staci and I are watching the complete series DVD set of the 1990-96 CBC/Disney Channel show Road to Avonlea. Like sophisticated people.

I have been CATCHING UP on e-mails, and SENDING e-mails I've been meaning to send, and REPLYING to e-mails that have just been sitting there for too long. I am ACCOMPLISHING something. It feels... OKAY.
