Today I got very excited about two new rolling pins. One is nonstick and the other has endcaps for precise thicknesses and measurements printed on it. Hooray disposable income!

Okay, continuing the Cubano adventure - using Chef John's (from Food Wishes) recipe to make the bread. ...I can NOT handle the way he talks. I do like pitch variation while speaking, it makes it more interesting, but the random way his voice shoots up in pitch and volume on just drives me BONKERS.

Today I watched a video about clitics (grammatical term) and it led me down a rabbit hole that revealed that the conjugation of strong and weak verbs in English is defined in precisely the same way as the conjugation of strong and weak verbs in Dutch - and now I have a better understanding of both.

I spoiled myself and got a Kitchen-Aid mixer. The purchase granted me a free accessory. I went with the ice cream maker. Now I have a beautiful purple appliance AND ice cream. DELICIOUS ice cream. Win-win!
