Yes, will be at Worldcon! Not sure about Fantasycon yet.

Ooh, we'll have to have a catch up at Worldcon and I can introduce you to the people I'll be there with. Going to be attending with @losbennett.bsky.social and a few others, and hopefully my partner can afford it. Fantasycon is just down the road so would be rude for me not to.

Oh that's a shame! I haven't been to Edge-Lit in years. Used to love it, but don't think I can afford another event this year.

Yeah, wedding and honeymoon obliterated my bank account and holiday allowance but Edge-Lit is quite cheap, easy to get to and on a Saturday 😊

I think my bank account will be decimated after Harrogate and Worldcon tbh.

I imagine quite a few uf us Worldcon attendees are the same 😅 The spoons come in waves. Some days at a Worldcon I feel brave enough to say hi to people, then I get tired and retreat into my own shell.

I will follow you - I'm here on the far eastern edge of the Pacific Northwest in a small community. Twitter was my happy place - it has been hard to figure out how other social media platforms operate. Feels like so much work. In 4 places now - to replace one.

Accounts to follow: Neil Gaiman, Matt Bell, Ann Leckie, Elizabeth Bear, Tade Thompson, Nnedi Okorafor, Daniel Abraham, Leslie Farnsworth. (Then see who they interact with and follow as appropriate.)

I typically look for authors or creators I like who are fairly well connected in my genre, and then look at everyone they’re following!
