Basically, AG doesn’t want to sound the alarm because it’s boring and everyone else is doing, also, he wants to tell people things they don’t want to hear. The more dangerous Trump will be the less NYT wants to mention it, it’s too easy and too common. Everyone knows it.
I think NY-based media can't get past the idea that he's the harmless clown he was 40 years ago (when he, um, took out an ad demanding innocent black kids be killed by the state pour encourager les autres. But that seems harmless to white people)
