A fun thing about running TTRPGs for “strangers”: When you create a puzzle in Latin expecting them to have to roll for a translation, but instead two of the players just start actually translating it.

Ran some Marvel Multiverse RPG for #FreeRPGDay. Alas, my “X-Men ‘97” didn’t make, but I think my World War II game was a success. Thanks especially to @tlawson.bsky.social for showing up and impressing everyone with his knowledge of Marvel lore (this is what we call a “ringer”, children)!

Okay, I’ll admit it. With proper printing, my custom X-Men ‘97 character sheets for Marvel Multiverse RPG at FreeRPGDay on Saturday really came out well!

Today is also the birthday of the late, great Mark Gruenwald. I love comics, you love comics, but I don't know if anyone loved them as much as Mark. A superb editor and writer, and a truly good person, Mark left us way too soon. Still sorely missed.

Had a dream that I thought I’d been invited to be on… an extremely popular D&D actual play… and told everyone about it. Only for the cast to be like “We don’t know what he’s talking about. He just took a picture with us at a con” and then getting completely and absolutely dragged by the Internet.
