We are embarking on a future where it will be less common to see women in positions of professional achievement or authority than we do now—fewer women lawyers, professors, scientists.
This will not just be the direct result of abortion bans—women being driven out of work or education by pregnancy—but also because of downstream effects, like missing advocacy or mentorship and growing stigma against women in the workplace.
