megaman wiki casually mentions that strikeman (the giant baseball) has intentionally sent a person to the hospital while working his job as a pitching machine. for some reason this made me think "what if 'roboenza' was fake and the robots just hated their jobs"
So I presume under this logic the robots want freedom and start an uprising, Dr. Wily is playing the saviour to further his own agenda, Roboenza is propoganda sold to the robot and human masses, and Dr. Light in response creates a robot for destroying other robots?
i was giving bubblegum crisis 2040 a while back and i really liked the gimmick that the robots would mutate and malfunction in a way related to how they'd been abused by humans, almost like batman villains
