According to copyright law, the moment work is published, it's protected. If someone steals it, they're infringing on your copyright and you can file a claim. Another way to copyright is to send the original to yourself via certified mail and not open it until you need to prove ownership.

id say copyright is the best thing to sort out fr fr the same thing goes for music but it usually a pain in the ass

That’s true but small artists including my self don’t have any idea how to do that copyright thing, and a fun fact when we search our own work on Google it shows someone else’s ID who eventually stole it 😅
