I have to wonder why medical personnel who make fun of patients on social media are in practice? Like if you hate the people you are supposed to be caring for, find another job. Those derisive comments cause direct material harm, such as avoiding care for fear of being treated like this.
Money and Title
I work closely with these types and we *DO* have some hateful individuals in healthcare, especially MDs. But, they remain purely for their inflated paychecks and bragging rights.
I always gravitate towards Nurse Practitioners as that often care more. They’ve been in the trenches.
My most recent nurse practitioner at a specialist was the only one who didn’t give me flak and made material recommendations to help my situation rather than basically doling out webmd printouts. Was so grateful for that.
