Hello kindly Blueskyers!
Cambridge is hiring a twelve-month visiting assistant professor in U.S. history since 1800 for 2024-25. Any field, UK AND non-UK applicants warmly welcome
Sorry this ad is so late, it takes us forever because we rely on owls rather than email

Between you and me we are hiring at least one person, maybe two, to cover fellowship successes on the part of existing colleagues. Fellowships only just confirmed hence late posting. NB we'll be interviewing on the Fourth of July, so if you're US-based and shortlisted don't hit the sauce too early
Your flagging that non-UK applicants are welcome is helpful, as the university boilerplate on right-to-work in the further particulars sheds zero light on the availability (or not) of visa sponsorship!
(You’d think the HR types would want to be less opaque on that point, for the benefit both of applicants and of the staff who will have to field their questions!)
i have no idea why the language is laid out this way, but I have received assurances that if the best candidate requires a visa we can sponsor one for this post
