Feeling lucky I have a job with a flexible schedule that lets me head to WFH before the worst of the heat, as well as a bus system that lets me pay $2 to sit in air conditioning instead of sweating in the sun.
Surly does build really nice communters. This is a long-haul trucker, which was designed for touring but works great as a commuter for many of the same reasons it's great for touring. My only criticism is that it doesn't have a horizontal dropout.
