Otakon hasn't clarified if the Koki Uchiyama and Shinosuke Tachibana autograph sessions are all "Blue Lock" only or just some. A failure from their social media team. Either way, it shows that Bandai continues to be woeful at U.S. public relations, callously disregard stateside fans, or maybe both.

For the second time I've rescheduled my room at the same hotel in D.C. for Otakon, gotten a better room, and saved money.

In the Otakon schedule, there are guests for whom I can't find evidence they are doing events save autographs. This is probably due to their names not being in panel titles - honestly a good thing - but the Guest page on the website should have something to help find which panels guests are doing.

There's apparently a Laid-Back Camp panel directly after mine and in the same room as mine on Friday at Otakon that mentions having guests from Japan who worked on the show's third season...but none of those guests are listed on the website as attending...

I just finished taking a look at who will be guests at Otakon and what, if anything I'd be interested in having autographed. I'd love to have my "Mobile Suit Gundam UC" set signed by Uchiyama Koki but the box for that damned thing is almost the size of my carry-on. :-/

Having a couple of days in D.C. before Otakon means that I get to do extra stuff like the National Zoo on Thursday and museums on Wednesday. As I'll be headed to the National Gallery of Art, it's probable that I'll spend more on books there than I will for everything at Otakon.

"Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom" was a damn hoot! Fantastic set piece battles, great SEED-style melodrama with the characters and villains, some earnest heart, WMDs under every rock, and there was a capital ship that had a heat ram! Now I know why it did gangbusters in Japan.

I finally had the time to try and get this new thing going proper. Now to get the hang of using it and posting here.
