Their rhetoric is always “let AI do the boring stuff so teachers can focus on the important things.” But then they turn around and claim AI can/should do all of the art and practice of teaching. The vision of AI in education is scale, not learning.
My thing is transparency & equal access. Teachers using AI, should be obligated to explain the use & some sort of appeal for students & parents to address errors. Likewise, AI vendors at a minimum must be transparent about AI source content & preferably about algorithm & editorial decisions
