Am I dumb, or does this statement make no sense in the context of laying off 20% of the actual journalists? "..focus on strengthening the outlet's journalism.." <-- I guess the implication, in a statement by the owner (a doctor & biotech billionaire), is that the laid-off workers were dead weight.
