A ruling by Alabama's Supreme Court that frozen embryos in test tubes should be considered children has sent shock waves through the world of reproductive medicine, casting doubt over fertility care for would-be parents in the state and raising complex legal questions. nyti.ms/3OPrEix

Create a ton of embryos, freeze them permanently, claim them as disabled dependents. Profit.

If the S.Ct. affirms this decision, advancement in areas of fertility, cell biology and others will stop. Researchers and physicians will move to countries that are still living in the 21st century, not the 13th.

The scariest part is that I'm fairly certain SCOTUS would uphold this nonsense.

I’m speechless. “Preposterous” far too inadequate to describe such a ruling.

Following that rationale, it should be illegal for women to die because until they've given birth to all the 40.000-odd egg cells in their ovaries that they're born with that would be mass-murder! BTW, when will they make jacking off for men illegal?

It's so scary what is happening in the United States. Going backwards. Unreasonable bible thoughts like "be fruitful and multiply" are governing our country. It's insane. The last thing Earth needs is more and more people. Many people should NOT be parents!
