Like a true trash viking, I found an old bottle of mead while cleaning. In shame of not drinking it during our Feast for Odin podcast, I'm making up for it on this week's @omnigamers.bsky.social Playlist.

For any Omnigamers who can't get enough podcasts, Mark from SVWAG recently started a video game spinoff that I've been greatly enjoying. A great mix of new and old games.
Mark's new podcast about video games with Caitlin Bailey, All My Best Friends Are Digital, is now live! If you hate his other work you'll probably dislike this one too. redcircle.com/shows/912e34...

Give Omnigamers Club a listen! Their board game discussions are great but even though I'm not really a video gamer I'm enjoying living vicariously through their video game discussions as well. If you like all kinds of games then they're a perfect fit for you.
I'll be honest, getting any visibility on the podcast has felt impossible on all social media platforms lately, so we're particularly reliant on word of mouth. Reviews/Ratings on Apple/Spotify are super appreciated but so is anything from a repost to a thumb.

Finally tracked down a copy of Five Parsecs From Home from @modiphius.bsky.social , a solo skirmish game. I've been recounting my quest for it on @omnigamers.bsky.social and @markyuasa.bsky.social has given some early impressions. Now I just need to pick out some minis.

Floppy Knights is currently free on the Epic store, and so is joining the club and listening to our podcast review of it. It's an adorable deck building tactics game that feels perfect for board game adaptation (and last I heard there's one in the making). www.omnigamers.club/2022/07/blog...

Who checked out #freerpgday this last weekend? Mark visited our local FGLS for some workshops and gives a report on tomorrow's episode of The Playlist, stuffed with a bunch of other TTRPG chatter.

What digital board game adaptations have you been enjoying lately? The summer slump of in person games continues so I messed with a couple of new adaptations over the weekend, Cats and Quilts of Calico & Bullet: Surge. I'll be discussing them on this week's @omnigamers.bsky.social Playlist

We always say to have a balanced game diet over at @omnigamers.bsky.social but this is taking it a bit far.
Cassette tapes are probably not a good size reference any more - but also I don't generally picture slices of bread as that small?
