I'm mostly self taught when it comes to art. I could never get into any art classes behind the intro stuff, which (I felt) was way too basic for me at the time. I missed a lot of fundamentals that are now starting to really frustrate me as I try to improve my skills.
Since I am neurodivergent, that means I learn differently than others, and self study doesn't always explain stuff clearly and that adds to more frustration, as well as tanks my self esteem.
So, I'm trying to dedicate time to go back and learn the fundamentals that I missed. My partner is an amazing teacher, and I hope I can get up to speed a little faster now. Some of this stuff is so mystifying to me.
