Today I’m grateful that my food culture does not include beans on toast and mushy peas. 🇺🇸

i like green peas as a side dish but I'm not fucking dipping french fries and fish in mashed peas, that is some behavior I cannot describe

It's not even that it's the gruel, it's that it's used as a condiment for something that would be better off without it, you take glorious fried fish and potatoes and just fuck it up with unseasoned mash peas, it's heinous

This is coming from the same people who consider buttered toast with sprinkles to be a cute dessert so it's unsurprising
