What kills me about this is that The Great Gatsby isn't a particularly "hard" book to read? The prose is straightforward. It's hardly Pynchon.

❌ It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife. ✅ A guy with money needs to get married. Everybody knows this.
