I will stick it out, but once again: if you are mean, cruel, even just rude to anyone on here, I will block you instantly. Even if you’re not in my mentions. You have every right to talk to people any way you like! I don’t have any obligation to listen to it.
I will also block you if you are just… I dunno… contributing the general malaise in social media of dunking rather than constructive engagement. My feed, my whims.
Oh, I agree. Lucky enough to see him two of his monologues live, Monster in a Box and Morning, Noon and Night. And of course Swimming to Cambodia on film.
The story in Monster in a Box about playing the Stage Manager in Our Town and the kid playing Wally Webb projectile vomiting onstage one night is one of my favorite things.
I too saw Morning, Noon and Night! I can still recall him with a little plastic boombox, dancing on the stage to "Tub-thumping" as he was talking about his toddler son.
World’s falling apart and needs a bit of 1930’s, 1940’s Democratic leadership, and (lord forbid), a bit of Democratic grit… and we’re being taken to task over Victorian ethics… perhaps we didn’t learn nothin from the 20th century…
My sense is that a lot of the people who thought the problem with Bad Place was that everybody else was an asshole are now here and feeling free to be their true selves.
