Growing up in Montana in the 1980s, we were all aware of The Order. An extremely violent neo-Nazi group from the Pacific NW that murdered multiple people including talk show host Alan Berg. (“A Hundred Little Hitlers” is the book to read about it.).
Anyway, seems relevant no?
And the fact that the piece didn't even mention that northern Idaho has been regarded as a haven for neo-Nazis and white supremacists since the Aryan Nations set up shop there in the 1970s is just a gobsmacking omission.
