There goes a regal, noble, stalwart of a stateswoman. Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee. She was the best of the best. I am profoundly saddened and heartbroken to learn of her passing. I’ve been listening to a lot of her speeches over the last few hours. RIP 🙏🏿

I literally just phoned Rep Sheila Jackson Lee’s DC office (202) 225-3816 and left a message of heartfelt condolence. I didn’t know what else to do. Such a sad moment. 🙏🏿

Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee was a passionate advocate for the people. A declarative voice for the People. She was a strong voice for Black people, for the poor, for women everywhere. What I admired most about her was her righteousness and unbridled commitment to truth and justice. May she rest in power.
