(they aren't recognizing it "just now". the cdc as an agency has never *not* recognized it. that would not make any sense because that's not what *their* data has shown)
this stuff is just totally disconnected from reality. it's frustrating to see because everyone deserves to have accurate info.

I live in Atlanta, and I know many people who work for CDC. They are friends, neighbors, and clients of mine. Many of them will privately tell you their messaging could be better, but they were constrained by higher-ups in the federal gov't. To your point, they *always* knew COVID was year-round.
nah, it's another one of those groups that mostly spreads mis+disinfo while beating up on public health workers more than the politicians who govern them
