having lived in Portland and Minneapolis, my sense of reduced transit schedules is so warped that whatever the train schedule is today in Chicago really does not register as annoyingly reduced yet
even the busses near me are still running at least 4 an hour, when this is the max for a normal schedule in those other cities i'm used to 1-2 an hour on a reduced schedule. i'm sure after a year here i'll have a different feeling but going to enjoy this for now
This is the opposite of traveling other places from NYC
NYC transit is terrible, its also head and shoulders above anything else I have experienced in the US
Hah yeah, willing to bet the locals here also feel more like you re: Chicago. I constantly see people complain about CTA's issues but I'm too new here to agree by experience.
