More late season daylilies, looking much happier after our inch of rain last night. Ruffly "Will Collier", yellow spider "Web of Andromeda", and pretty pink "Dawn Time". I have "Web" planted right up front so I can put my nose in it, wish I had smell-o-vision to share the wonderful scent!

Even my tired is tired tonight. I'm hosting our running club tomorrow and I have to feed them afterward. It's going to be 97 degrees so I suspect the crowd will be down. I will have somewhere between 20 and 50 people here. You never know, so I have to cook for the 50. 😵💫😴
The "money plant"in one of my deck planters survived the winter and had taken over the pot, so at a point where I was pretty much over it about planting, I just punched a hole in the leaves and put a small Rex begonia in the middle. It looks like it has a skirt on now! 🤣 🌱💚
@shorebird.bsky.social I picked my first eggplants to have for dinner. First time I grew the white ones so it might be a bit early for those but I wanted to see how big the seeds were.
My brother is a glass artist (@lavakarl on Instagram). This is a close up from a piece he just did. Even though it's scorching here, it made me feel a little cooler just to look at it. 🥵😄
Here's a fun 🌱 daylily. It starts off the morning looking almost gray, and then gradually turns a raspberry purple by later in the afternoon.
"Trahlyta"
The patio baby eggplants are starting to come in! These are ones that you pick when they are about the size of real eggs. I think they are as pretty as most of the flowers!

Hello everyone! I've had a friend visiting for a week and I feel like I've been gone forever. The daylilies didn't stop though so here's a few from the last week. 🤩🌱
Atlas Shrugged, August Frost, And Ferhoodled
I make quilts, they take weeks, months, involve thousands of tiny pieces of fabric and precision. I do not have the patience to rinse my soapy hands in soft water, good grief that is an interminable task
This was my first attempt at free motion quilting a large quilt. I did a busy pattern to hide the mistakes but the joke was on me. I had a hard time seeing what I was doing. Oops. Despite the lack of finesse in the quilting, a friend fell in love with it and it lives on her sofa.

Making up for all the times I forgot the seedling.
Some of today's new daylilies!
Oceans Eleven, Black Stockings, Pat Garrity, Tiger by the Tail.
More daylilies are starting to open. I love the morning strolls in the garden these days!
Ribbon Candy, Pumpkin Prince, Frozen Jade, and Prairie Wildfire
I snapped these lap quilts that go with the orange chairs on the patio, thought I would post them here.
All low-effort patterns, as I didn't want to be upset by the quilt getting the occasional singe from a popping ember from the fire pit. I used wool batting to make them somewhat flame resistant.
I hope you all don't get sick of me over the next couple of weeks but I have a severe daylily addiction and new ones are coming in daily. Here's a few that have showed their lovely faces in the last day or three.
"Charles Johnston", "Tigereye spider", "Give me Five", and "Ruby Spider".
