Honestly this whole situation is strange.
1. They made rule at the last minute where Zionists are not eligible for a nomination.
2. The fact that neither gen con or the Crit awards are not talking means legal has gotten involved.
If you read the article and follow the timeline of events, it's clear that the "rule" was a clarification and restatement of an existing general rule about inclusivity and respect that had been in the code of conduct the whole time. It's not that strange at all in context.
