The bulletin boards at Felton Faire had stratigraphy of activism and informal economy. They were supposed to be cleaned once a month but it regularly went years. They were fun just to look at as a kid.
Then some fucker set one on fire.
Yeah, the telephone poles in the area used to be the same way. Months if not years of flyers, lost dogs, and garage sale notices.

New local law, no more flyers. Can still tell how old some poles are by the number of staples.
