Seems like I haven't heard of one music book that's come out so far in 2024. Is that how Q1 goes every year and I just never noticed before?

Who are these anti-country music people? I'm shocked they still exist.
I just spent several weeks dealing with shit from some of my listeners for *daring* to spend time talking about the Byrds' country period and Gram Parsons, like it is literally impossible for country music to have any possible... not just merit, but even importance or interest. It *baffles* me.

Anyone who complains about A History of Rock Music in 500 Songs can totally eat me
I am *this fucking close* to just stopping doing the podcast altogether, and frankly would quit if it weren't for the fact that there are now multiple other people relying on me for their employment, given the *constant* stream of complaints.
