Let’s not forget Brett Kavanaugh was a lead attorney on Ken Starr’s independent counsel team (the office which Scalia decried in Morrison) and complained bitterly internally (see below) they weren’t doing enough to prosecute Bill Clinton for perjury
Kavanaugh got his way and forced Monica Lewinsky to come in for a 2nd round of questioning, this time about intimate, graphic sexual details because Kavanaugh was convinced such details would be necessary to build a stronger perjury case against Clinton
It's why I think the case stands for vindication of resentment about Nixon and some Reagan and for the constitutional rule that Dems are presumptively illegal.
The whole untrammeled pres freedom reads as a love letter to impunity; with power comes no responsibility or accountability.
