Yes! I have definitely seen how fandoms can be huge for the growth of social websites. livejournal, ao3, youtube, tumblr, twitter, and stationhead all owe a lot of their growth to fandoms. Fandoms foster creativity and community and can be a testing ground of what these apps are capable of.

I decided to come back and give this app another shot yesterday and everywhere I turned there was so many od their posts I almost gave up on btsky. :D They do seem like harmless, jovial, fun-loving bunch and feeds eventually cleared up so no complaints from me

No need, the other place was so toxic I have no intention of removing any sort of positivity from my feed here. Cute cats & puppies, art, bts fandom..whatever brings smile on my face stays. Even my old cynical ass can see that you're a honest group of people united in passion around thing they love.

Yes! That's exactly it. Now that you mention it, that's the familiar feeling I have. I grew up in the hood and after moving to a nicer, safer neighborhood with my family, this is the same relief. It's that "Dang, no gunshots at 2pm anymore?" feeling 😂 Oh it's just safety and contentment. Wow.
