*Inexorably Thanks autocorrect They are quite explicitly intertwined. See ExxonMobil cozying up to the evangelical "green stewards" movement in the 70s and 80s which fed into the religious far right which fed into where we are right now, amidst and self-inflicted environmental apocalypse.
