With the scheduled power outage, I tested out my NAS's ability to set a shut down and power up schedule so that I'd have minimum downtime. Worked like a charm!

Nice, finished a Set game in 27.245 seconds. Not sure that's my fastest ever, but pretty fast! www.setgame.com

TFW you're tempted to engage with a name you recognize, but feign ignorance if they act like you should know them.

Done with tracks 5201-5240, which was 109 files, about 6.75 hours of music including a version of Bach's Magnificat. The Great Music Relisten Project continues!

Between "A Fistful of Dollars" yesterday and "Unforgiven" today, I feel like I've seen both ends of the Clint Eastwood spectrum. Throw in "3:10 to Yuma" (both version), and I think I've hit a major portion of the Western spectrum in general. But yeah, "Unforgiven" was another great flick!

A number of memorable losses lately: Shannon Doherty Richard Simmons Dr. Ruth Shelley Duvall I'm not going to compare and contrast. Death comes for us all, and it's always tragic for those who loved the people who passed on.

Snark about Amazon all you want...I certainly do...but in the end, they're accepting a return for me that's outside their normal return window, and granted my request to return it via Kohls rather than going to UPS, which is a convenience they easily could have denied.

Watched "A Fistful of Dollars" for the first time. I don't really know what to think. The first half of the film feels a bit pedestrian to me, but the second half is a fair bit more interesting. But it also feels very (proto)typical, whereas, "3:10 to Yuma" has a lot more going on.

Well, today was certainly a mix of highs and lows.

Didn't take long for someone to say in a group-chat I admin exactly the kinds of things about today's events that I was hoping people would be more high-minded than to say. This isn't an invitation to debate.

I had a dream that I was Sookie from "True Blood"'s friend and we were visiting Bill for the first time in years, and it made me want to finish watching the series (I only saw through S3(?)), but I hear the later seasons are just awful. :|

And just like that, the Great Music Relisten Project is done with tracks 5101-5164. 138 files, but only 5.75 hours of music, including the usual selection of Bach four-part chorales.
