I just finished Front Desk by Kelly Yang. I was not expecting this moving, phenomenal story from the cute cover. It talks about struggle, discrimination, poverty, hope, and the hardships of immigrants. I cried with Mia and her family, especially after the author’s note. #booksky#amreading
So good, right?! I've been reading Kelly Yang non-stop lately. If you haven't already, definitely check out Finally Heard, Finally Seen, and New From Here. Each book covers similar themes but in a unique way that makes each special in its own right.
