"How well can you conjure an apple?"

Illustrated perfectly how ADHD messes with my ability to transition my ideas into paper

Do you think sculpting the apple in 3d, using it as a featureless model to trace over, and then doing the full illustration might help? It's not cheating because you would have put the work in to sculpt that apple...I think?

Using references and tracing still life isn't cheating, tracing other people work is cheating. Use every tool you have to make better art, no real artist expects anyone to perfectly draw anything from their minds eye (some of us don't even have that) That is all thank you good bye ♥️

It always grinds my gears wondering if some people can actually see a literal image in their head, like if they were seeing it with their eyes, or is it just the way they describe how their imagination works. I can imagine lots of stuff but it's always more of an uhh... multi-dimensional-thought?

Lmao. I like the fact I can kinda relate. At day time I cant be bothered to draw what I want but when I need to sleep. Motivation hits.

Oh my god, this is really accurate. Hate it so much.

I think I have aphantasia. Or probably the matter of the working memory in my adhd is taken up by what is in my immediate visual view.

Still blows my mind that people can see *anything* with their eyes closed. I just figured everyone saw black like I did until like 4 years ago when people started talking about it.

Sometimes when I get on a big writing kick I'll literally thrash about in my bed giggling uncontrollably as I claw at my head because the ideas are trying to escape.

I also like comparing it to this illusion with the dots and the grid. The harder you focus on the details the less you see.
