I just figured out a pretty good life hack for myself- instead of optimistically buying produce that I sincerely hope to use before it goes bad, I can save time and cleanup by just putting five or ten dollars directly into the trash.
Today I learned that Monterey Jack cheese was named after a Scottish businessman named David Jacks who moved to California during the gold rush and I can't get over how much this information sounds like something Barney Stinson would make up to hit on women.
I have arrived! Now to figure out how this is different from Mastodon, Xitter, Threads, Hive, Post, and the various other socials I've joined this year because I don't want to feel left out!
