Isn't survival horror action game a contradiction? It's either survival horror or action horror?

It's not like any of these terms have a firm definition. My primary thought here was that the game transitions into more of a shoot-'em-up once you've got the rifle.

Agreed, some games have both survival horror elements and action horror elements making it hard to give a give it a single genre. If you spend most of your time shooting the game leans towards action and I personally think it should be called an action horror with survival elements.
