Wholeheartedly agree with this. I think itβs a bitβ¦ not exactly *patronizing* at least not intentionally, but it suggests a lack of faith in your writing or the audience and thatβs disappointing.

This is great! It aligns with my own thinking. I'm writing a short story about a succubus who wants a self-destructive paladin to care about himself and become a bit of a brat. I'm being careful to have her use consent language in a way that fits the context of the story.
