The prompt yesterday for the 30-day drawing challenge I’m doing was “turtle.” I drew my piece and then this girl showed up to say, “We look *nothing* like that 🤨” Everybody’s a critic!

I found a baby in the middle of the road a few months ago and look . . .
(Apologies to the turtle for this moment of discomfort. I actually thought it was no longer alive but it turned out it was! Yay!)
I made a mistake.
The turtle in my photo is not a painted turtle but a Florida Cooter.
Known misidentification keeps me awake at night so I am gifting myself a good night's sleep by correcting my error. 😆
