For what I understand satan isn't really in the bible, though Lucifer is. Satan as a figure was created in the middle ages based on misreading of few passages in the bible and was associated with Lucifer.
Given some level of logic and persuasion we're used to convince Eve to eat the fruit that opened her mind to the knowledge of Good and evil.
