Writers are losing their jobs after false positives from ai detectors.

AI Detectors Get It Wrong. Writers Are Being Fired Anywaygizmodo.com AI is already stealing writers’ work. Now they’re losing jobs over false accusations of using it.

It gets better. I work for an agency (that I want to leave because they underpay me, but can't afford to just yet). Agency uses AI detectors. So I've changed my style to avoid them. End client: Make this more formal. They WANT the writing that flags the detectors!

"Don't write like AI but also everything is going to have AI prompts to alter your writing style."

Yup. "Don't want to use AI? You luddite! Here's your AI tool and your AI tool replacing the thing you already used"

"Please help train our AI models so we can replace you after we fire you for (not actually) using AI."

Oh no, we won't even ask. We'll just use your work to train our models because it's work for hire, so we can...
