Father’s Day always gives me time to reflect upon the fact that my father should really be back by now from running to the corner store to get a pack of Marlboro 100s in 1978.
...in my many years of c-store work I sold innumerable packs of Marlboro Reds but very very few Red 100s. For some reason almost all the Marbie 100s users got Lights instead.
Always 100s. Always in a box. When I was very young he smoked Camel unfiltered but begrudgingly switched to Marlboro when there started to be some speculative chatter that tar and nicotine might be unhealthy.
