They believe this b/c, they're not wrong. They'll still have champagne and caviar gatherings with power. Even as Germany was being bombed their industrialists still enjoyed being a protected class. Same would be true of Trump fascist government. They literally could give a shit about our fates.
This is the fundamental problem. The rich, white, old men in charge of all the media outlets honestly, deeply believe that there is no difference between the two candidates.
And fundamentally, that is so at odds with reality that it is destroying the ability of news to at all educate or inform.
