FYI - According to the complaint, Player 1 (Porter) bowed out of games early to assist the conspirators' betting scheme in exchange for forgiveness of his gambling debts (a "special"). He has not been alleged to have bet on his own games.

I can only see this becoming less of a problem as all sports are inundated with constant ads, live broadcaster ad reads, official betting sponsorships.. this will all go away on its own, you know the "market will correct itself"
