Learning that a huge source of my peace is predicated on having “Neil Gaiman” muted as a term for years on Twitter and also doing that here 😬

To be clear: I have no special insight! My timeline was just constantly saturated with mention of him, and my inclination is to let people enjoy their thing and simply bow out when it’s just not for me. This was unsettling to learn about for me, too.

Same. I think i followed him early my early twitter days but quickly learned that really huge-follower accounts just clutter up the timeline too much

Yep, I am here to interact with people, not to ogle celebrities! But also I never really liked him lol.

i loved the Sandman comics way back when, & of course Good Omens, but yeah i didn't really find his tweets all that interesting. I'm also pretty suspicious of any creator that amasses such a huge fandom

Once again feeling very lucky that for me there's basically no artist for whom appreciation of the work has led to veneration of the person
