Since drawing comics, I’ve been so afraid to draw for fun. I’m afraid of wearing out my hands if I’m drawing both on the clock and off. I also worry about burnout. But I love to do it. I’ll just figure out how to best care for myself because apparently I can’t help it. I want to draw all the time.
ooh totally get it. i used to worry about the same stuff. and yet drawing for fun always helps with healing burnout. (its why i draw martin short so much 😂)
yeah I totally agree with rachel. it's okay to embrace your love of drawing in your free time. I mean, it's probably why you got into it as a profession, right?
for me, it's usually enough to just do the usual stuff of making sure to take good care of my joints and to take regular breaks.
