My audio is donked up in the first half of this video, but subsequently improves. I will probably make a few of these because google believes that this content will do really well. Also I am not able to livestream today 🥶 Hot off from the rip-roaring success of bringing fungus to all the children, this is a full playthrough of a standard game of civilization 6 with no commentary. I will brooke no argument on this one, it took some time. I am playing on emperor, and all options enabled except heroes/legends, zombie mode, and relgious victory. It's the dramatic ages that does me in. This makes the second time I've put a Kongo game up on this channel that has ended in disaster. I am playing with the Civilization VI leader pass on a Linux PC (Fedora 40). Because I play multiplayer too much I am using the PC runtime and using Proton to actually run the windows executable. There is no significant dip in performace that I am seeing. There will be a companion video to this, explaining the setup. 2000s Retro Games: Chrome Specforce (Part 21)youtu.be OMG this went so badly. This is Chrome Specforce, part 21. I finally succeeded in getting through the worst possible part of any game in the early 2000s, an escort mission. This is part of a slate of 2000s retro games that have officially passed the "Retro" line this year. Chrome specforce, or as it is known in the original russian: Хром: Спецназ, is a stealth FPS reminicient of crisis in terms of mechanics. The game mostly revolves around a series of firefights and missions featuring Logan, a guy who is in the Specforce. Unique to this game was the use of a super-powered suit of combat armor, with 4 abilities, that can be used to make the fighting easier. It is considered abandonware, and it works fine in linux, although the resolution is weird for modern monitors. Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri Longplay (No Commentary) Gaian Diplomatic Victoryyoutu.be This is a full game of Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri from start to finish. Playing the base game as Gaians, only talent difficulty, I achieve a diplomatic victory after 1 long war. Let me know in the comments what you think about this type of content. Google seems to think that y'all want to see this kind of stuff. For rule set: Talent Difficulty All Victory Conditions Blind Research Spoils of War No Unity Survey I am playing Alpha Centauri on fedora 40 linux using a WINE prefix. It worked fairly well except I had to disable allowing the window manager to manage windows. This is a Long-Play, which means none of my infamous commentary. I have high hopes that this will be a great playthrough. If you're interested in the game, you can get it on GOG.com. I recommend having actual game files to mess with so modding is easier. Murder Party: danganronpa 2 goodbye despair full game (Chapter 4.3: Class Trial)youtu.be It's Danganronpa 2, this is not a grape day. The robot is dead, and we are stuck in the most anime part of this game, trying to figure out the killer! Danganronpa 2: Goodbye despair is a game which blends the elements of mystery, dating sim, and visual novel to make an incredible experience. It also has a tamaguchi- like game element to it as well. In this livestream series I will be doing a full game playthrough, and I will read it all. Yeah baby. This isn't the first time we've done a visual novel on this channel, but this is the first one that is widely considered to be VERY good. How to troubleshoot WINE programs in Linuxyoutu.be Hello, this is a general guide to how I install and run programs on linux using wine. I am using a fedora 39 system, but this tutorial will apply to any linux distrobution that uses wine, gnome software, or flatpaks. I have been installing a lot of old windows games on linux lately, and I am finding that wine works way better now than it did at the time these games were released. It is possible in most cases to get things working without the performance issues that used to dog me at every turn. The software I am using that you will need: Play on Linux: https://www.playonlinux.com/en/ Wine: https://www.winehq.org/ Game software, in this case I was just using abandonware: https://www.myabandonware.com/ If play on linux won't start after install, you will likely also need some background libraries as well, in order to ensure things work correctly: Python3, pip, asyncore for most linux distros, the commands to get these libraries should be something like [package handler] install [packagename].
