but blue archive's global en translation isn't based on the japanese one but the original korean, right? chronologically the japanese one releases first but it is not the original script, and ironically the japanese translation is quite unfaithful to the korean original as i understand it.

with that said, i prefer some of the jp localization (especially when it makes the dialogue lewder) so i don't mind if they base it more on that one.

If JP is supposed to be faithful to KR, then why is it so different to EN?

no, it is unfaithful from the analysis i've seen. the japanese translation is not ""accurate"" to the korean script.

So I looked it up and apparently while the EN is a bit more faithful to the original KR text, the localizers still made the character way meaner than needed.
