Agreed, but remember: there were middle aged white dudes in the 1960’s wearing Bermuda shorts, white tshirts, and black socks like it was nothing. And someone was remarking “we used to be a proper country”.
That Bermuda shorts guy was my dad, and it was probably his mom saying it.
